Herman Abcede, the Provincial Superior and Bro. Nilo Pelobello, the Provincial Treasurer to the Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Parish in Multinational Village, Parañaque City on April 26-27, 2016. Bro. Christian Allan De Sagun, the Provincial Secretary documented the event. The short visit was highlighted by personal dialogues and common encounter with the confreres.
The Rogationist St. Matthew Province celebrated the 53rd World Day of Prayer for Vocations with the annual Youth Gathering called "Magbokasyon sa Bakasyon", to make the young be come more aware of the importance of praying and promoting vocations to the Priestly and Consecrated Life. This year's celebration was simultaneously held in different communities of the Province, particularly in Parañaque, Cavite, Cebu, Davao, Ilocos, Bataan, Iloilo and Pangasinan.
After days of celebrations, which until now doesn't show any sign of ending, out of joy for the ordination of the first Indonesia Rogationist Priest - Fr. Henrikus Gualbertus - Fr. Herman Abcede, the Provincial Superior and Bro. Nilo Pelobello, the Provincial Treasurer, officially did the Canonical Visit to the Missionary Station of Maumere, Indonesia from April 19-21, 2016, which was documented by Bro. Fr. Herman Abcede (Provincial Superior), with his Council - Fr. Jose Maria Ezpeleta (Provincial Vicar and Councilor on Religious Life and Formation and Pastoral Care for Vocations), Fr. John Joffer Lucas (Councilor on the Rogate, Laity, Youth and the Parishes), Fr. Orville Cajigal (Councilor on Charity and Mission) and Bro. Nilo Pelobello (Treasurer and Councilor on the Administration of Goods) met at the Oasis of Prayer in Silang, Cavite on April 3-5, 2016 to evaluate the first year of their term in the St. Matthew Provincial Council and to plan for the next. The Postulants of St. Matthew Province went on a pilgrimage two National Shrines designated as Pilgrim Churches during the Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy.
Continuing with his attempt for constant open dialogue with each confrere and sincere encounter with each religious community, Fr. Herman Abcede, the Provincial Superior just completed his Canonical Visit to the Our Lady of Pillar Parish in Zaragoza, Bolinao, Pangasinan, where he was warmly welcomed by Fr. Ulyses Angus, Fr. Wesley Jay Taguibao and Bro. Mark Robin Destura. He also had the chance to meet the newly elected officers of the Parish Pastoral Council. During his stay, which lasted from March 7 until 11, 2016, he also took the opportunity to check on the initiatives of Fr.
The Canonical Visit of Fr. Herman Abcede, the Provincial Superior to the St. Lawrence, the Deacon Parish community in Bangui, Ilocos Norte, that lasted from March 4 until 7, 2016, was highlighted by encounters with the Fr. Sylvestre Robiñol and Fr. Menard Cadeliña, both as a group and even personally. Fr. Herman took the opportunity to visit the chapel in the municipality of Dumalneg, the establishment of which as a parish of its own is the primary reason the presence in that area was accepted by the Rogationists. The chapel in San Isidro was also visited.
