Fr. John Lucas, Provincial Vicar of St. Matthew Province, led the ground-breaking ceremonies of the construction of the first Rogationist Religious House in Vietnam on January 13, 2016, after a conclebrated Mass. Bro. Nilo Pelobello, SMP Provincial Treasurer assisted in a ceremony attended by the Rogationist confreres, diocesan and religious priests, seminarians, Daughters of Divine Zeal, relatives, benefactors and friends.

With his documents at long last approved, Bro. Paul John Mapacpac, who completes the new batch of missionaries to the Rogationist mission Papua New Guinea, will finally fly tonight, December 30, 2016. Bro. Ninety young men attended the annual year-end vocation orientation in the two Seminaries of Rogationist St. Matthew on December 27-30. Forty-five youths from the Provinces of Luzon and the Tagalog-speaking islands went to Fr. Hannibal Formation Center in Paranaque, while another forty-five young men from the Visayas and Mindanao Provinces partook the search-in program in St. Hannibal Formation Center in Cebu. Rogationist speakers talked about vocation in general, the primacy of prayer and discernment, the Vocation to Rogationist Priesthood and Brotherhood.

The Rogationists Communities in Philippines (Fr. Hannibal Formation Center – Paranaque; St. Hannibal Formation Center – Cebu; Fr. Di Francia Center of Studeies – Paranaque) Vietnam (Missionary Station) and Mexico (Tonela) shared the spirit of Christmas through the Christmas Sharing to over thousands of children, especially those who are less privileged. The Rogationist Seminary in Paranaque hosted around 400 toddlers at St. Hannibal Childrens Center on Dec. 11, 2017 for the annual traditional Christmas Sharing which was first introduced 31 years ago. In the succeeding Sunday, some 1,000 elementary and junior high school students will likewise take their turn at a second part of the annual event. The Seminary organizes among lay collaborators, friends, relatives and benefactors a collection of funds for the event.
