As the Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy nears conclusion, the Rogationist Postulants made their pilgrimage to the five Jubilee Churches of the Archdiocese of Manila on November 5. Early in the morning, they began the spiritual journey with a Mass and first station of the pilgrimage at the Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception (Manila Cathedral), then towards the National Shrine of the Sacred Heart (Makati), to the Archdiocesan Shrine of the Divine Mercy (Mandaluyong City), to the Santuario del Santo Cristo (San Juan City) and lastly, to the Our Lady of Sorrows Parish (Pasay City).

The Religious in Practical Training (RPT) of the St. Matthew Province had their annual meeting, encounter and bonding last October 25-29, 2016 held at the province of Bataan, Philippines, taking the theme, "In the Footsteps of St. Hannibal". Their stay in Bataan was also made possible through the efforts of the Parish Community of St. Francis Xavier and St. Hannibal Mary Di Francia Parish in Parang, Bagac, Bataan, with friends and benefactors.

The Vocation Promoters and Formators of the Rogationist St. Matthew Province gathered for their annual meeting on October 2-5 in Bohol, Philippines. Fr. Jose Maria Ezpeleta, Councilor General for Formation and Religious Life together with Fr. Ariel Tecson, the Provincial Councilor for the same sector facilitated the meeting of seventeen formators from the various formation houses, namely: the Discernment and Aspirancy Houses, the Postulancy House, the Novitiate and the Center of Studies in the Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam.

On September 21, 2016, the St. Matthew Province paid festive tribute to its patron, the apostle and evangelist, highlighted by the celebration of the Holy Eucharist at the chapel of the Oasis of Prayer, dedicated to and named after the great saint. Fr. Herman Abcede, presided over the liturgy, with Fr. John Joffer Lucas delivering the homily, before an eager crowd of friends, benefactors and members of the growing Family of the Rogate. The feast, which was preceeded by a solemn triduum, ended with some traditional Filipino games.

With a Seminar on Emotional Quotient growth for religious leaders, facilitated Mrs. Lourdes Migne, the annual three-day Meeting of Superiors/Responsible and Treasurers commenced on September 15, 2016, at the St. Hannibal Rogate Center, with 25 participants. Fr. Herman Abcede, presided over the beginning of the second day of the Meeting, On September 16, 2016, by discussing with the participants their Liturgical obligations and the other relevant duties and responsibilities expected of them as animators of their respective communities. Through the imposition of hands and the invocation of the Holy Spirit by Most Rev. Jesse Mercado, DD, Bishop of Parañaque, six religious brothers from the St. Matthew Province were ordained deacons, on August 27, 2016, at the Holy Spirit Chapel of the Fr. Di Francia Center of Studies. Let our prayers for Revs. Jorem Bellen, Zander Conson, Mark Robin Destura, Jose Gasta, Jonrey Lauron and Espiredion Verano, Jr. continue as they begin this life of humble service.
